About Us

Maria is the Clinic Director and Founder of Pulse Laser Clinic.

She is a qualified lawyer in South Africa and also a Solicitor of England and Wales. Two years after moving to England, she explored the idea of a career change and her desire to start a business of her own.

In November 2012, together with her scientist sister, Christina, they noticed a gap in the London market for a laser clinic that not only provided unmatched treatment results, but a very personalised customer service to go with the treatments, and so Pulse Laser Clinic London was born.

This was an international branch of her sister’s very successful brand in Johannesburg.

Maria went on to gain a VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy and a NVQ Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulse Light.

She also holds certificates in Laser Safety and advanced laser and skin treatments such as laser tattoo removal, ablative and non ablative laser skin rejuvenation, micro-needling, TCA peels and medical facials.

Because of her years in the industry, she is recognised for her in depth knowledge in laser treatments and is a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for the international laser manufacturer, ALMA Lasers, often speaking at conferences and events on their behalf.

Her favourite treatment to perform is ClearLift Laser, a non invasive skin remodelling treatment.

Over the past 13 years, Maria has invested a lot into ensuring that every client who comes through the door had a superior experience and this is reflective in all of our top rated reviews. She is still very much involved in performing the treatments and the day to day running of the clinic.

When Maria is not running the business, she is busy being a wife and mom to her two daughters.

Dr Christina is a co-founder of Pulse Laser Aesthetic Clinic, together with her sister Maria.

Christina is our resident skin geek as when she is not in the clinic, she is doing skin stem cell research as a senior post-doctoral scientist at the King’s College London Centre for Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine.

Christina obtained a BSc. in Natural and Environmental Sciences in South Africa, and after gaining an MSc. in Biochemistry from the University of Johannesburg, she moved to London and obtained her PhD in Cell Biology at King’s College London.

Christina continues to do her postdoctoral training at Guy’s Hospital, working on the breakthrough realisation that human skin contains different kinds of fibroblasts.

She is specifically interested in these cells in the context of therapeutic applications for wound repair, tissue regeneration and healing scar tissue. She also holds certificates in advanced laser and skin treatments, medical microneedling, chemical peels and medical facials.

Christina juggles a demanding career in science, alongside co-running Pulse, and still of course finds time to spend with her husband and 4 year old son. In her spare time, Christina enjoys baking elaborate cakes, watching movies, and travelling.

Our Medical director Vanessa Charest is originally from Canada, Montreal. She is a qualified Nurse Prescriber, registered in Canada and the UK. Vanessa graduated with a Bachelor in Nursing Science from Sherbrooke’s University in Quebec. Soon after she qualified, she developed a great interest in aesthetic procedures and specialised in cosmetic injectable procedures. She now has more than a decade of experience in the field of aesthetics.

Her profound knowledge of facial anatomy, paired with personalized treatment planning, guarantees transformative results that appear natural. She is known for her ability to harmonize and revitalize the entire face, enhancing inherent beauty while preserving balance in an undetectable way.

Vanessa is now a pioneer in the aesthetic industry and considered as an advanced injector. 

Yasmina is our Clinic Manager and has more than 24 years of experience in aesthetic medicine.

She trained at the Sterex Academy and has over 10 years experience specialising in Medical dermatology and dermatological skin concerns.

Before joining Pulse Laser Aesthetic Clinc, she  worked at some of London’s biggest skin and dermatology clinics, where she developed a reputation for delivering exceptional results with a patient-centered approach.

Yasmina spealizes in all advanced laser and skin rejuvenation treatments and has particular expertise in the removal of benign lesions situated on various parts of the face and body.

She is known for really listening and understanding her clients’ concerns, and then creating bespoke treatment plans that address their unique goals by combining advanced techniques, whilst always giving them realistic expectations. Her approach ensures that every client leaves feeling more confident, refreshed, and radiant in their skin.

Yasmina has such a warm, caring and approachable nature that immediately puts her clients at ease throughout their aesthetic journey where they feel immediately looked after and in safe hands.

She enjoys all aspects of her job with her main aim to make a difference to her clients’ lives.

Lauren is an experienced professional in the Beauty & Aesthetics field with over 18 years of expertise. Her work has been featured in notable publications such as Vogue, Stylist Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and Tatler.
Her goal is to stay current with industry trends through participation in meetings, conferences, and by training other practitioners in specialised aesthetic techniques.
Known for her magic hands she always adds a holistic spin to all her treatments to add a luxurious touch and a more relaxing experience.
She began her career at Champneys college where she discovered the importance of client experience and journey which she has maintained in both the spa and clinical environments.

Lytsa is our full time Laser and Skin Practitioner, whilst also helping with the co-ordination of the clinic to ensure it is always running as smoothly as possible.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aesthetics and Cosmetology from one of the leading international universities in Brazil. Her experience includes performing several of the latest non-invasive evidence-backed treatments for the face and body in busy clinics, and has worked with many of the leading brands to help her clients achieve their goals.
She had the chance to work aside doctors and plastic surgeons carrying out post operative care and assisting with advanced dermatology.
She’s passionate about skin and boosting the confidence of her clients. Her approach is professional, holistic and tailored to your specific needs, with a strong focus on transparency and giving realistic outcomes.

She says, “I don’t believe in changing our appearance, the change comes from within and we all have different versions of ourselves and my job is to help you find your best version with healthy and realistic results. In the end all I want is to enhance what’s already great. Ageing is unavoidable but with my help you can do it gracefully”

Binti is the warm and welcoming face of Pulse Laser Aesthetic Clinic , ensuring every client feels valued and comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. As a receptionist, she is dedicated to delivering exceptional service, managing client inquiries, and coordinating schedules with efficiency and precision.

She has previously worked at Urban Retreat in Harrods as well as at Blow Ltd and understands the importance of the customer experience and journey.

Binti’s approachable demeanour and excellent communication skills make her an integral part of the client journey. Whether booking appointments, answering questions, or offering support, she goes above and beyond to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for every visitor.

With a keen eye for detail and organisational skills, Binti ensures the front desk operates smoothly, reflecting the high standards of professionalism that Pulse is known for.  Her natural ability to multitask and prioritize makes her an invaluable support to both clients and the team.

Outside of work, Binti’s passion lies in beauty, in particular skincare and makeup. When she not working at the clinic, she is busy working as a freelance hair and makeup artist on fashion and editorial shoots, commercial projects, weddings and private clients.

Mojan is a laser and skin practitioner. She has been working in the industry since the age of 16 years in some of London’s busiest laser clinic. Over the years she has gained superior  knowledge and experience in laser hair removal and facial techniques.

At Pulse Laser Clinic she performs all laser hair removal treatments as well as DermaClear hydradermabrasian facials.

Mojan is known for her warm and friendly demeanour, she loves to build lasting relationships with her clients and often goes the extra mile to make them feel cared for.
