Types of Hyperhidrosis

1. Primary (Focal) Hyperhidrosis

Usually localized (e.g., palms, soles, armpits, face).

Typically starts in childhood or adolescence.

Not linked to another medical condition.

Often runs in families.

2. Secondary (Generalized) Hyperhidrosis

Caused by an underlying medical issue or medication.

May affect the whole body.
