Our Three-Step Protocol
- Scalp Microneedling with Calecim Professional Serum
The first step involves precise scalp microneedling combined with Calecim Professional Serum, a potent stem cell-based formula derived from umbilical cord lining extract. Rich in growth factors, glycoproteins, fibronectins, and collagens, Calecim supports tissue repair, cellular regeneration, and reactivation of dormant hair follicles.
Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the scalp, stimulating natural collagen production and enhancing the absorption of active ingredients. Your practitioner will apply 50% of the Calecim serum during this stage to maximise its regenerative effects.
- Alma TED ( Trans-Epidermal Delivery System)
Next, we utilise the Alma TED Trans-Epidermal Delivery System, an innovative technology that uses low-frequency, non-focused ultrasound waves to create temporary micro-channels in the skin. This enhances the penetration and efficacy of active ingredients deep within the scalp.
The remaining 50% of the Calecim serum is applied during this step, ensuring optimal absorption and effectiveness in stimulating hair growth.
- Dermalux Light Therapy
The final step involves Dermalux Light Therapy, featuring red and near-infrared light to improve blood circulation and stimulate hair follicles. This increased blood flow delivers essential nutrients directly to the follicles, promoting healthier, stronger hair growth. Clinical studies have shown that red light therapy can significantly enhance hair density and thickness.
- Consultation: Before undergoing the procedure, consult one of our skin and hair specialists to ensure you’re a good candidate. Discuss your hair loss concerns, medical history, and any medications you’re using.
- Avoid blood thinners: For about 7-10 days prior, avoid medications that thin the blood (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) and alcohol to reduce the risk of bruising or bleeding.
- No hair products: On the day of treatment, avoid using any hair styling products such as gels, sprays, or serums.
- Clean scalp: Wash your scalp thoroughly on the day of treatment to remove dirt, oil, and product build-up.
What the Treatment Consists of:
- Preparation: The treatment area is cleaned and prepared.
- Microneedling Device: A microneedling pen with tiny needles is passed over the scalp in sections, creating microchannels. A growth factor serum, Calecim, is micro-needled into the scalp.
- The Alma TED (Trans epidermal delivery system) is passed over the scalp, this works with unfocused ultrasound waves. The Calecim serum is used in conjuction with the Alma TED for increased absorption.
- The final step is Red LED light therapy to improve blood circulation and help with product permeability for 10 minutes.
- Duration: Each session typically lasts 30-45 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
- Frequency: Multiple sessions are often recommended, spaced about 2 weeks apart. For optimal results we recommend a minimum course of 4-6 sessions.
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Wear a hat or apply SPF to protect the scalp.
- No Hair Products: Refrain from using any hair products for at least 24-48 hours.
- Gentle Washing: Wait at least 24 hours to wash your hair, using a mild, sulfate-free shampoo.
- Avoid Sweating: Skip strenuous activities, swimming, or saunas for 48 hours.
- Do Not Scratch or Pick: Allow any scabbing to heal naturally.
- Follow-Up Treatments: Stick to your treatment schedule for optimal results.
