iPixel Laser Skin Resurfacing
The iPixel Erbium-YAG laser is a new generation of skin resurfacing lasers available at our boutique London clinic. This popular, highly effective non surgical treatment can dramatically alter the appearance of your skin, helping to reduce the signs of ageing and significantly improving texture, tone, pore size and any marks or scarring you may have on your skin.
The laser resurfaces your skin by removing the top layer of old, damaged skin cells and allowing the healthy new skin below to come to the surface. Whilst iPixel laser treatment does have some downtime, it is generally considered minimal compared to traditional, more aggressive ablative laser treatments.
If you are looking to rejuvenate your skin to achieve a healthy, glowing, youthful appearance, then this treatment is the perfect choice for you.

iPixel works by using a fractional ablative laser to create tiny, pixel-sized perforations on the skin’s surface, leaving surrounding tissue intact. This controlled damage triggers the body’s natural healing process, stimulating collagen production to replace old skin with new, smoother, and healthier tissue. This fractional method allows for more precise treatment and faster recovery compared to traditional resurfacing lasers.
Immediately after treatment, there may be heat of moderate intensity and excessive redness and swelling at the treatment area. This may feel like a mild sunburn. This may continue for the next few days. Downtime can vary from person to person but normally it takes 5-7 days for the skin to fully heal. We will provide you with a detailed advice sheet to take home.
On average, clients require three treatments, once every four weeks. Some clients may need more than one course. Our laser specialist will advise you during your initial consultation what course of treatment she recommends.
-
- Days 2-5: Mild swelling might occur, and the skin often begins to flake or peel, sometimes showing a faint “grid” pattern from the laser.
- Full Recovery: Complete recovery usually takes anywhere from 3 to 7 days, varying from person to person and depending on the intensity of the treatment.
- Returning to Normal Activities: Most people feel comfortable returning to work and normal social activities within a few days, often around day 4, sometimes sooner if mineral makeup is applied.
Skincare: Use gentle, fragrance-free products and avoid active ingredients (like retinoids or strong acids) for about a week before and 10 days after the procedure.
Moisturizing: Keeping the skin well-hydrated is important for faster healing
It is important not to pick or exfoliate skin while it is healing
