MeLine® Dark Circle Treatment
Say goodbye to tired-looking eyes with the MeLine® Dark Circle Treatment — a scientifically formulated protocol designed to target and reduce pigmentation and vascular causes of dark under-eye circles. This advanced two-step system combines a professional in-clinic peel with an at-home maintenance product to restore a brighter, smoother, and more rejuvenated eye area.
Meline dark circle treatment is a two-part, professional system designed to reduce the appearance of dark circles around the eyes. It involves an in-clinic application of a depigmenting peeling solution to gently exfoliate and brighten the skin, followed by a professional at-home care product to restore a brighter, smoother, and more rejuvenated eye area.
The treatment plan typically consists of 4 treatments, spaced about 15 days apart.
In-clinic treatment (Step 1)
This is a two-step professional peel treatment. The solutions are applied to the eye area by one of our skin specialists for a limited time before being removed. This professional peel uses a combination of active ingredients that are safe for the delicate skin around the eyes.
The key active ingredients are:
First solution:
Chloroacetic acid: To increase epidermal turnover and promote skin renewal.
Lactic acid: For hydration and enhancement of the skin barrier.
Second Solution
Retinal (Vitamin A): Promotes cell renewal and inhibits melanin production.
Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C): A potent antioxidant that reduces oxidized melanin and brightens skin tone.
Phytic acid: Inhibits the tyrosinase enzyme (which produces melanin) and neutralizes free radicals.
At-home treatment (Step 2)
This step is initiated two days after the first in-clinic treatment and is continued for at least 30 days.
A roll-on product is used to apply a layer of the depigmenting solution to the periorbital region both in the morning and at night.
This at-home care continues to treat pigmentation and also helps with other concerns like puffiness and dilated capillaries.
Meline for dark circles works by using a combination of professional in-clinic treatments and at-home products to exfoliate the skin, reduce melanin production, and improve circulation. The professional treatment involves applying a depigmenting and exfoliating solution to the eye area, while the at-home component uses ingredients like Tranexamic Acid, vitamins, and peptides to continue lightening the skin, boost collagen, and reduce puffiness and discoloration over time.
-
- Consultation: One of our skin specialists will first assesses your under-eye concerns, skin type, and medical history to confirm your suitability for the treatment and determine the appropriate plan.
- Preparation: The periorbital area is gently cleansed and degreased to prepare the skin for the peel application.
- Application of Solution: A super-soft professional depigmenting solution is carefully applied to the eye contour area using a cotton swab or similar applicator.
- Activation Time: The solution is left on the skin for approximately 15 minutes to allow the active ingredients (such as chloroacetic acid, lactic acid, phytic acid, vitamin A, and vitamin C) to work. During this time, a mild tingling sensation is normal.
- Removal: The product is then removed from the skin with water or a gentle cleanser.
- Aftercare Instructions: We will provide you with a detailed aftercare instructions, emphasising the importance of a gentle cleansing routine, a specific Meline home-use product, and daily high-SPF sunscreen application.
